Terms of Service

Welcome to TransFam. By using thetransfam.com you agree to these terms. We've tried to keep them short and human.

1. Who can use TransFam

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• To buy anything, you must be 18 or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian.

2. Your account

You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email. Keep access to your email safe. You can delete your account at any time from My Fam.

3. Be kind

This is a space centered on trans and non-binary people. You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, out, or share private information about anyone;
• post hateful, discriminatory or sexual content;
• submit stories that aren't yours, or impersonate someone else;
• abuse the invite system (for example with fake or temporary email accounts);
• try to break, overload or misuse the website.

We may remove content or close accounts that break these rules.

4. Your cards and content

Anything you type into the Card Studio stays on your device. The cards you make are yours to keep and share for personal use. Stories you submit remain yours; by submitting one and ticking the consent box, you give us permission to publish it on TransFam, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.

5. Paid products and custom art

• Prices are shown in US dollars. Payments are processed securely by PayPal; you can pay with a PayPal account or a debit/credit card.
• Custom art is made by human illustrators based on the description you give. Delivery times are estimates.
• You receive a personal-use license to your artwork: use it as a profile picture, on social media, print it for yourself, or share it with friends and family. For commercial use, please ask us first.
• We never display your artwork publicly without your written permission.
• Refunds and revisions are covered in our Refund Policy.

6. What TransFam is not

TransFam is not a crisis service, and nothing on this website is medical, legal or financial advice. If you need urgent help, please see our resources page. Links to other organizations are provided for convenience; we're not responsible for their content.

7. Cards are keepsakes, not documents

TransFam cards and celebration keepsakes are decorative. They are not identity documents and must not be presented as official records.

8. Changes and availability

We're a small team and may change, pause or stop parts of the service. We'll try to give notice for anything important. If we ever shut down, we'll give members time to download their artwork.

9. Disclaimers and liability

TransFam is provided "as is". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, except where the consumer protection laws of your home state or country give you rights that can't be waived.
